Introduction
The JR 10X is the big kahuna of JR radios. The top of the pile, so to speak, equivalent to Futaba's 9Z radios. The 10X supercedes the 10sxII which itself was a fantastic radio, but with updated software and new features presented in an easy to understand format, the 10X is in my opinion the ultimate radio. Infact I found it so easy to program that I hardly used the manual. The included manual is also well presented with correct English grammar used throughout unlike me previous Futaba 8 radio manual that was a complete put off. The 10X also now incorporates JR's 3+1 digital trims which means that the aileron, elevator and rudder trims are digital but the throttle trim is mechanical. I like having the throttle trim on a ratchet as I find it easier and faster to kill the engine. Its also easier to glance at the radio as see quickly the trim position. The radio body is constructed of magnesium making it light weight but very strong.

Using the 10X
The 10X has a nice hefty feel to it, though not too heavy with rubber pads under the radio where your fingers grip. Its well balanced in your hands and even after extended flying doesn't give any cramps. The ergonomics are spot on and smoothness of the sticks outstanding. The 10X even has a recess on its side where the antenna is stored. The only thing I had to adjust when I bought my radio was the spring tension of the throttle stick as it was too light. Took me about 15 minutes to open the back of the radio and adjust the tension screw.
